Privacy Policy

Short version: We collect as little as possible. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. Your location stays in your browser. The only cookies we use are essential ones.

Who we are

DiscPrice.com is a disc golf price comparison service helping customers find the best prices from retailers worldwide across disc golf retailers worldwide. We're based in the EU and operate under GDPR.

What we collect and why

Your location (country) — stored only in your browser's localStorage. Never sent to our servers. Used to estimate shipping costs from each retailer to your country. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser's local storage, or by using your browser's private/incognito mode.

Click tracking — when you click "Visit →" to go to a retailer's site, we log that click server-side. This is how we count outbound traffic and, when CPC is active, how we charge retailers per click. The log contains: timestamp, retailer ID, disc ID, and a hashed IP address (not the raw IP). We do not track you across sessions or build profiles.

Anonymous usage analytics — we may log aggregate statistics such as how many searches were made for a given disc name, or how many users visited from a given country. This data is never linked to individuals.

What we do NOT collect:

Retailer data

If you apply to list your shop, we collect your name, email, shop name, website URL, and country. This is used solely to set up your feed and communicate with you about your listing. We don't share this with other retailers or third parties.

Retailer portal analytics (impressions, clicks, outbound) are stored per-retailer and are only accessible to that retailer and to DiscPrice.com administrators.

Cookies

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. If we use any cookies in future for essential functionality (e.g. session state), we'll update this policy and ask for consent where required under GDPR.

Third-party services

Data retention

Click logs are retained for 13 months for billing and dispute resolution purposes, then deleted. Retailer application data is retained for as long as the retailer is listed, plus 2 years after they leave.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we collect almost nothing about customers, there is typically very little to request. To exercise your rights, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy
